COLLECTIVE COLLAGE

From the collaboration with visual artist Danila Ilabaca and INAS Design Studio, we have created two instances of Interactive Collective Collage Installations. In a first opportunity during Danila's individual installation "Soñé planetas" at the Extension Centre of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage of the Government of Chile, and in a second instance with the project "Había una Vez", being this time an itinerant installation, financed by the FONDART line of artistic creation 2020, of the same Ministry.
"There are rare cases in which spectators can come into contact with artistic works and to intervene in them, and even rarer are the situations in which art is in the public space; in general, the exhibitions remain inside museums, galleries and classrooms, obstructing the possibility of linking art with the everyday life of being in transit in the city".
Both projects bring the technique of collage to the public space by means of large-scale variable modules that are intervened with images made available to pedestrians. By means of collage, an open technique without limitations, which allows everyone to create and express ideas through images, an interactive work is proposed, activating and strengthening the connection between the spectator and the work of art.
